Sure! Who doesn’t?
Someone with these skills and experience will have people begging to come work
for with them.
And the salary? Yuge!!
Only problem is: they don’t exist. They’re unicorns. Fantasy people.
Aatash Shah has a great post on how data science teams really work, and what are people’s roles in those teams.
The moral for you, as an aspiring super data scientist?
Focus on improving your data skills set so that you are useful to the employer with whom you would like a job. Make yourself useful, and make yourself known.
Start a data science project that increases your skills set, and broadcast that project so potential employers will be able to find you.
Take a cue from Jorge Fernandes: he has a great data analyst job. He’s not a super data scientist. Not yet.
